400 Years of Tradition Otori Danjiri Festival 2024 2024.10.08

This autumn festival is held in Nishi-ku, Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture. It takes place every year for three days starting on the first Friday of October. At the Noda-ku Jiguruma-goya-mae intersection, you can see the spectacular sight of a float sprinting out of the arcade of the shopping street. Originally, the festival was a religious ceremony to offer prayers and give thanks to the gods of the land for a good harvest, a good catch, and good health.
